I keep telling myself: “You can make it!” Since the beginning of April I’ve photographed 34 weddings and delivered over 17,000 images to clients. I still have a few more weddings to go before the New England wedding season ends in mid-November, but I can see the end in sight. And the end of wedding season doesn’t mean the end of work. It means the beginning of a time when I can work on all the behind-the-scenes tasks such as accounting, web updates, gallery hosting updates, and a whole bunch of other stuff I want and need to do for the business. So far I’ve booked 23 weddings for 2012, which is crazy, and far ahead of where I was at this time last year. I’m aiming for 40 weddings next year, which is three fewer weddings than I’ll photograph this year.

Here are some highlights from a wedding I photographed in September — Sarah and Edgar’s wedding at the Hyatt Harborside Hotel in Boston. I loved their wedding and these people. And so I thought I’d share some of their photos with you.

Some highlights from Katie and Ahmad’s wedding at Circa 1799 Barn in Ancramdale, NY. Their wedding took place this past weekend. Farm flower arrangements, an heirloom veil, and one of the most beautiful rustic settings…. it’s all coming soon.

On the most beautiful June day, Heidi and John were married at Belle Mer in Newport, Rhode Island. It was more than 18 months from our first meeting until their wedding. It seemed like forever that I was looking forward to this day! Heidi and John aren’t afraid to share their feelings about each other and express love towards others — they were such a wonderful couple to photograph.

Their wedding also had oh so many details — here’s the info on just a few: stationery and paper goods were designed by Miss Pickles Press. Florals were designed by Stoneblossom of Rhode Island. Music was provided by Boston’s Night Rhythm.  StillMotion traveled from Toronto and San Francisco to provide videography. You can view StillMotion’s SDE video — which was shown at Heidi & John’s reception — at the end of this blog post.

These are some of my favorite photographs from Brooke and Michael’s wedding at the Harvard Faculty Club. Some details: Brooke’s gorgeous bouquet and all of their wedding flowers were arranged by Marc at The Celebrated Flower in Somerville. Dani Wagener was Brooke’s wedding day makeup artist.

Quyen and Yedeh recently had their wedding at the Artists for Humanity Epicenter. You may remember Quyen and Yedeh from their engagement session this past fall.

This is a very special blog post because I photographed this wedding with my favorite second-shooter/partner-in-crime/collaborator Li Ward of Fat Orange Cat Studio. We have been (somewhat) joking for a while that we should start a new branch of our businesses: Rigby & Ward — we just have that much fun working together.
