I lived in Rhode Island for a long time &#8212; in Little Compton and Providence &#8212; so it is always nice to go back to my old state. Memories!</p>
<p>Weddings are always happy occasions, but this was probably one of the most joyful weddings I photographed all season. As I was working on these photos, I was struck by how often people seemed so incredibly happy.</p>
<p>A few details: Mary wore her mother&#8217;s wedding veil from 1974. The red touches of color in jewelry and flowers were a tribute to Mary&#8217;s father, who has passed.</p>
