A few professional portraits of Nicoline. I created two sets: one in color and one in black and white. Now, usually I prefer color photographs. But for some reason I really like seeing these images in black and white. Maybe it’s the simplicity of subject/environment and the simplicity of black and white.

I have needed a bio pic for a long time. Whenever I meet with clients I say something like, “I’ll be wearing a gray shirt.” Which really wasn’t cutting it. A photographer with no professional photos? You ever hear the expression, “the cobbler’s kids go shoeless” or however it goes? Well that’s how it is, or was, around here.
Now all my mystery is gone! I finally have a professional portrait, courtesy of my photographer friend Channing Johnson. We were just going to catch up over drinks but then the idea of a photo opp occurred to me. I said “I don’t care if you photograph me with a beer! I just need a photo for my website!” So here it is and here I am and now you know. I won’t have to text people about what I’m wearing. Thank you Channing!
I’m photographing Ryan’s wedding in a few months. You remember him, from Ryan and Nicoline? I didn’t do too much processing on these photos, just some basic tweaks for exposure and contrast.
