Two blog posts in one day?! Yes it’s true. And there are so many photo sessions I still have yet to blog, but I HAD to get this one frame up. Taken earlier today at the ICA Boston. More photos from this engagement session up within the next week or so.
We’ll see more photos of Whitney and Phil next year. I’m photographing their wedding next September at the Museum of Contemporary Art, La Jolla, California.

Last Saturday I met Arlene and Jeff at Boston’s Hatch Shell for their engagement photo session. It was early! Well, 9 a.m. is early for me on a Saturday. But it was a great way to start the day.
It always amazes me how people’s personalities come across in photos. Arlene and Jeff are just this relaxed, really sweet couple who have such a nice way with each other. It was so nice to work with them during this session, and I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding on the Cape this October.

Jeni was one of the first customers who booked me. We met at a Starbucks, because where else do wedding photographers who are just starting out meet with clients? I remember telling her that I had only photographed three weddings, but that I would really, really love to photograph her wedding in July, and that I had finally found my calling in life with wedding photography and I just wanted to work really hard and see if I could make my dream business come true. I probably sounded like a crazy lady. But Jeni gave me a chance and here we are seven months later. Since then, I’ve photographed five more weddings and completely filled the rest of my 2009 calendar with 30 weddings. And I haven’t even been doing this for a year. Crazy. And I never want to do anything else.
