A few highlights from Jennifer & Cory’s engagement session in Boston’s Christopher Columbus Park and the North End. These two writers will have their wedding next May at one of my favorite wedding venues: the Boston Public Library (BPL).

It’s that time of year… I have a total of *five* weddings to blog, and I’m photographing weddings every weekend from now through the end of October. For now, a few photos of Heather and Steve’s engagement session in the Boston Public Garden and the Back Bay area of Boston.

I recently photographed Celina and David’s engagement session at their alma maters: Wellesley College and Harvard University. We started this photo session early! Well, early for me… which is 7:30 a.m. These two are so sweet they brought me a Starbucks coffee to help get me going.
It was such a perfect Spring day and I was so into photographing these two that I went way over time on our session. But c’est la vie. I was having fun.
David and Celina’s wedding will be held this September in Los Angeles, California.

One of the things I love about being a wedding photographer is that I get to play and make-believe. So when Jana and Scott told me that they wanted to do a camping-themed engagement session, I was pretty excited! We headed to Walden Pond in Concord, Massachusetts for photos. For those of you not from Massachusetts, yes, it’s *that* Walden Pond, as in Thoreau. And no, they don’t allow camping. Hence our make-believe camping photo shoot.
Jana and Scott have been together since they were 16 and 17 years old. After more than a decade of partnership, they’ll make it official this May with their wedding at the Red Lion Inn in Cohassett. Wedding photos to follow!

On the first day of Spring I photographed Omi + Ross around Cambridge. Their wedding is coming up in May, in western Massachusetts at Harrington Farm. Their dog Brutus will be there too!

I recently photographed Jessica and Rob’s engagement session in the Back Bay area of Boston. Their wedding is this June at the Boston Public Garden, with a reception at the Colonnade Hotel. And yes, their dog “Biscuit” will be part of the festivities on that day as well!
Last night I photographed Amy and David at their apartment and in Harvard Sq. I loved hanging out with these two — at times it was almost hard to get through their shoot because we couldn’t stop talking! Amy reminds me very much of my best friend, Sarah (you’ll see her wedding in a few weeks). And David is a printmaker, which is nuts because I graduated from college with a degree in printmaking and I don’t think I’ve run into a printmaker since. Well, maybe I’ve just been traveling in the wrong circles.
After the shoot we stood on the street talking for what seemed like a long time. We talked about Andy Warhol and Obama and Cambridge and 80′s movies and evangelicals I don’t know what else. I could have stood there longer, but it was time to go home and attack my photography to-do list.
Amy and David’s wedding is this October at the Willowdale Estate in Topsfield, Mass. More photos then…
