Another one of my favorite wedding day images — the bride and groom during the recessional. From Erica and David’s wedding on the North Shore of Massachusetts. August, 2009.

Please make the first dance good at your wedding. We want a show. Thank you.

From a wedding at Coggshall Farm last May. Still one of my favorite portrait sessions.

Caroline and Kuan Ju’s wedding at City Hall in Cambridge was my first wedding of 2010. There were eight guests, and they came from the West Coast and England to witness the small ceremony and beautiful day.
What makes a great wedding? All you really need are two people willing to commit to each other, the few people who care most about them, an officiant to marry them, and a lot of love. I love small weddings!
Danielle and Walter were married last month at Boston’s Exchange Conference Center in the Seaport District. They found me through their friends and fellow clients, Amy and David. Needless to say, many of the guests were the same at both weddings (including both couples!). Danielle and Walter met when they were students at the Massachusetts College of Art. I love my artsy clients.
This was my last wedding of the 2009 season and I’m just wrapping up a few albums. What a year!
With the year coming to a close I have only one more wedding to process but at least four to blog! I also have some winter engagement sessions coming up, including an outdoor night shoot with Christmas lights. So even though it’s technically not wedding season in Boston, the blog will be well-stocked over the next few months.![]()
Kristen and Kevin’s wedding reception at the Westin had a lounge, nighttime, city feel. Which is kind of how I’m feeling at this time of year with these short days and long nights. Their Catholic ceremony at St. Gregory’s included Filipino traditions (veil pinning) from Kristen’s family.
I’m finishing Kristen and Kevin’s wedding photos, but pulled this one out a bit early. Isn’t she beautiful? More photos from their wedding coming up this week.

Mary and Sean were recently married at Christ the King Church at URI with a reception at the Hotel Viking in Newport, Rhode Island. I lived in Rhode Island for a long time — in Little Compton and Providence — so it is always nice to go back to my old state. Memories!
Weddings are always happy occasions, but this was probably one of the most joyful weddings I photographed all season. As I was working on these photos, I was struck by how often people seemed so incredibly happy.
A few details: Mary wore her mother’s wedding veil from 1974. The red touches of color in jewelry and flowers were a tribute to Mary’s father, who has passed.
Amy and David were recently married at Willowdale Estate in Topsfield, Mass. Here are a few of my favorite photos from their wedding day.
And… I’m updating this post with some info on the Etsy items that were used in this wedding:
Shawl: Trendy Knitting
Groom’s tie: Buttered Toast
Cake toppers: Goose Grease
Name banner: Earmark
Arlene and Jeff were recently married at the Wequassett Inn in Chatham, MA. You might remember their engagement session from a few months back. Here are a few of my favorite photos from their wedding day.
