wedding books

I offer three types of wedding albums or books — two leather options and one hardcover option. Today I wanted to show you the first leather option, Kiss Wedding Books.

As I’m starting out in wedding photography and building my business, I had to think about what kinds of albums I would offer my clients. I approach my business by offering the things that I would want from a wedding photographer: simple, modern, edgy, emotional, and artistic photography and products. That’s why I chose to work with Kiss. I love their modern and simple approach, high-quality books, and unbelievable customer service.

Kiss covers are made from 100% full-grain, natural leather. They come in a choice of five colors. I would call them black, brown, green, red and blue, but Kiss makes it a little more interesting by calling them “voluptuous black,” “smouldering brown,” “sultry blue,” “forbidden green,” and “redlight red.” The pages are 2mm thick, and are delivered in a patterned cloth bag. They come in three sizes: 8×8″, 10×10″, and 12×12″.

I do all the layouts and album designing myself, using InDesign. Creating albums is actually one of my favorite things to do while sitting on the couch at night with Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow on in the background. It’s probably how some people feel about doing sudoku (which I still don’t get) or working on puzzles. Anyway, here are a few pics of my Kiss sample album.

Kris & Bob, Pt. II

I just finished processing the photos from Kris and Bob’s wedding. So here are a few more of my favorites.

I’m so busy it’s crazy. Probably has something to do with processing each photo INDIVIDUALLY. I know, there are more efficient ways… but I really enjoy processing.

Kristen & Bob

This weekend I photographed Kristen and Bob’s wedding. They had their ceremony and reception at the Loring-Greenhough House which is a historic house in the Jamaica Plain section of Boston. And oh yeah, it’s supposedly haunted! I have to mention the catering at this wedding, which was done by Ne Me Quitte Pas and was absolutely beautiful. Anyway, I’m just starting to go through the photos and wanted to post a few of my favorites so far. I especially love the first one below, which is the bride with her father just after the ceremony.

Kevin & Nancy: Sneak Preview

I spent yesterday afternoon photographing Kevin and Nancy, and just started going through them and processing. Here are a couple of my favorites so far.

Their wedding will be in Hong Kong this winter, but they wanted to photograph some of their favorite locations around Boston before they leave: MIT, Newbury St., Trinity Church, and Harvard. We had so much fun! Looking forward to part 2 of their session, next weekend!
