And so we come to Fall. September has to be the most beautiful month in New England. It’s also my busiest month, with seven weddings. That’s including the one weekend I took off from photographing. When I photograph so often, that many jobs so close together can be daunting. But it’s more stressful in my head than it is in practice. When I look at my calendar I think “Help!” But when I get out there and work, it’s so rewarding, and so good for my development as a photographer. It’s at these super busy times that I can see movement forward in my work. I confess that one of my fears is that I can’t become a better photographer — that I’ve already reached my limits as an artist and business person. Working steadily, constantly, and pushing myself beyond what I think I can do, is when I see progress. So this month has been insane but very satisfying. I can’t wait to share some of the weddings I’ve photographed this month.
Priscilla and Matt were married this September at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Wakefield and had their reception at a private home in Jamestown, Rhode Island. Desiree Spinner and her team did a beautiful job coordinating the day. These are just a few of my favorite photographs from Priscilla and Matt’s wedding day.
