Ask Me Anything

I recently started a Formspring page, more commonly known as “Ask Me Anything.” I didn’t set one up for a while for two reasons: One is that I’m busy and I dreaded having yet another task. The second is that I was afraid I’d look like an idiot if no one had any questions. “Who am I to put myself out there like some kind of expert?!” I mean, I’ve been photographing weddings for less than two years. But I finally jumped on the bandwagon and set up a Formspring page, and guess what? I got questions! Good ones! And better than that, I’m having FUN answering them.

Most clients have questions that are specific to their weddings and I need to answer those on an individual basis. But about 10 percent of the emails I receive are from other photographers, and they’re usually asking similar questions. They have questions about processing, booking, if I’m looking for assistants, and just general photography biz and camera stuff. I thought it would be helpful to have a public forum for these Q&As.

So whether you’re a client, a prospective client, a Twitter follower, a photographer, or just someone interested in wedding photography — go ahead…  Ask Me Anything!
