Kate & Daniel’s Cemetery Wedding

When Kate and Daniel asked me to photograph their wedding in Mount Auburn Cemetery I was SO excited. Growing up, I spent so much time in a beautiful, rambling, landscaped cemetery near our house. For us kids the cemetery wasn’t some spooky forbidden place. It was where we rode bikes in the summer and built snowmen in the winter. It was where we walked my cocker spaniel, ran and played, and sat to talk with friends for hours on end. The cemetery also gave us a sense of the past — of wars and epidemics and wealth and poverty. I always thought it was sad that so many people were afraid of the cemetery, and was glad that we brought some life to it with our visits. I was so happy when I found out that Mount Auburn Cemetery recently opened their grounds for weddings. For anyone looking for a beautiful wedding setting in Cambridge, I highly recommend the Mount Auburn Cemetery!

I love photographing couples with great wedding style! Kate’s dress was by Stephanie James Couture, makeup by Dani Wagener and hair by Jana. Not to mention her birdcage veil. Love it. Lunch at Oleana Restaurant followed the ceremony.
